The Ugandan government has finally announced a phased re-opening plan for schools in the country. Last October the government had opened the “candidate” grade levels, meaning students who were in their last grade level before moving up to to high school level or graduating were able to return. Now, starting this month all lower grade levels will be re-opening in phases. All grades levels should be back in session by the end of May. This means students from all over Uganda all be coming back to our schools to attend classes.

As part of the COVID-19 regulations hand washing stations are required throughout the campuses.

Student dorms require students to only sleep 1 per bunk bed and the beds have to be spaced out 1 meter apart.
Our schools will continue to comply with all current COVID-19 safety regulations. Most of our school campuses have complied with all regulations and been given permission to re-open. The only school which will remain closed for the time being is GICC. Due to lack of funding we will need to wait to build the proper school infrastructure in order to comply with new government standards.
