Toggo High

campus completion

Toggo High and Vocational Secondary School is in it’s 6th year, and each year brings incredible new growth and opportunity. We are currently in the process of raising funds to complete our campus facilities so our students can finish their studies and receive their trade certificates or go on to university. If you’d like to help make this project a reality, please read more and donate below.

Even though our campus has been growing for several years, we still lack the basic facilities such as dormitories, cafeteria and a vocational training building. Below is the breakdown of individual needs as well as a campus overview to see where each building will be built on the campus.

  • Girls Dormitory: $52,000
  • Boys Dormitory: $52,000
  • Cafeteria / Study Hall: $30,000
  • Classroom Block: $60,000
  • Teacher Quarters: $42,000
  • Boys & Teacher Bathrooms: $10,000
  • Well & Clean Water System: $45,000
  • Campus Security Wall: $20,000

Each year Toggo High continues to expand, and with it brings added need for facilities to be added to accomodate students moving into the school. Each year we have been slowly adding classrooms to the campus, but we are needing to finish development of the campus to allow students to have on-site housing and dining needs met in addition to facilities for their technical and trade studies. The following is a list of the remaining infrastructure needed to complete the main campus facilities:

Girls Dormitories

This girls dorm facility will accomodate up to 300 students. On campus housing is crucial for some who either don’t have a home, or whom live very far away. The goal is to provide safe housing for as many students as possible so that students do not have to walk to and from school each day. Each dorm has a “matron” who functions like a mother to look after and care for the needs of each student in the dorm.

boys Dormitories

This boys dorm facility will accomodate up to 300 students. On campus housing is crucial for some who either don’t have a home, or whom live very far away. The goal is to provide safe housing for as many students as possible so that students do not have to walk to and from school each day. Each dorm has a caretaker who functions like a father to look after and care for the needs of each student in the dorm.

cafeteria / study hall

This cafeteria will have the capacity to feed up to 600 students during mealtimes, providing nutrious meals 3 times a day. In addition, the cafeteria will provide an additional facility for students to come and study when they are not in the classroom.

classroom blocks

These classroom blocks are to be used for various classroom instruction. Classes range from Senior 1 – Senior 4, which is our basic courses for students to take. In addition, we offer Senior 5 – Senior 6 Advanced Level courses to students who can receive an advanced vocational certificate as well as preparation classes to go onto university programs.

vocational training buildings

This building will provide specific and direct training for students in their chosen vocation. The main vocational offerings at Toggo High are: construction, auto mechanics, tailoring and clothing design, and cosmetology. Each student who attends Toggo High is required to study a trade as part of their education.

well & clean water systems

In order to provide clean water for all of the students at Toggo High, we are needing to drill a deep water well that can deliver water to the entire school. In addition, the well will also provide water to our nearby primary campus, TICC. The drill, water tower, storage tanks and piping will provide clean water for up to 2,000 students at our schools.

Campus Security Wall

In order to better protect our students we are needing to build a security wall surrounding our campus. In addition to it being a government requirement, it helps provide peace of mind to our students, many of whom live on campus.

Teacher + staff quarters

To better accommodate their needs, we provide housing for our teaching and school staff. Many of our students are full time boarders and also require supervision from staff members who are assigned to care for them.
